# Draft and review in Word, as tracked changes

Consilena works on Word documents the way a careful colleague would: it proposes edits as tracked changes and leaves every decision to you. In the web app you upload a DOCX and download it back with tracked changes intact; Consilena for Word, the add-in, brings the same work inside Microsoft Word and is in beta.

## How it works

1. **Upload a DOCX.** Add the contract or draft to a matter, or ask a question with it attached.
2. **Edits arrive as tracked changes.** Every AI edit is a tracked change in the document, never a silent rewrite.
3. **Accept or reject each one.** Every decision is saved as a new version; the version you reviewed stays exactly as it was.
4. **Take it out as Word.** Download the document with its tracked changes intact, or compare any two versions.

## Consilena for Word (beta)

## Frequently asked questions

**Does it change my document without asking?**
No. Every edit is a tracked change that you accept or reject; nothing is applied on its own.

**Do I need the add-in?**
No. In the web app you upload a DOCX and download it back with the tracked changes intact. The add-in is for working inside Word itself.
