Terms of Service
These terms are a contract between you and CONSILENA LIMITED for use of Consilena. Please read them — by creating an account or using the service you agree to them. Last updated 18 July 2026.
1. Who we are
Consilena is operated by CONSILENA LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17297594), at 518 Maurer Court, John Harrison Way, London SE10 0SX, United Kingdom. “We”, “us” and “Consilena” mean CONSILENA LIMITED. “You” means the person or organisation using the service.
2. What Consilena is — and is not
Consilena is a legal-information and document-analysis tool. It helps you research the law, compare jurisdictions, and analyse or draft documents using AI, grounded in published legal sources. Consilena is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and using it does not create a solicitor–client relationship. AI output can be incomplete or wrong and must not be relied on as a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer admitted in the relevant jurisdiction. For advice on your situation, consult a licensed lawyer.
3. Eligibility & your account
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. You are responsible for your account, for keeping your sign-in secure, and for activity under it. Provide accurate information and keep it current. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.
4. Credits, subscriptions & payment
Consilena is metered. You buy credits (pay-as-you-go) and/or a subscription, processed by our payment provider, Stripe; we do not store your full card details. The price of a query is shown before you run it (it varies with the models, mode and jurisdictions you select). Credits are consumed as you use the service. Taxes may apply based on your location. Cancellation and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5. Your content & documents
You keep ownership of the questions, documents and material you submit (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide the service to you (for example, to run AI analysis, extract fields, generate documents, and store your workspace). Chats and saved memory can be end-to-end encrypted on your device; uploaded documents are encrypted at rest. See the Privacy Policy for detail. You are responsible for having the right to submit Your Content and for its lawful use.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to use Consilena lawfully and to follow our Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, you must not use the service or its output to commit or facilitate a crime, evade the law, or destroy evidence, and you must not misuse, overload, scrape or attempt to breach the service.
7. Intellectual property
The service, software, and Consilena brand are owned by us or our licensors. Subject to these terms, you may use documents you generate for your own lawful purposes. Legal texts and citations come from official public sources and remain subject to their own terms.
8. AI output, accuracy & no reliance
AI models can produce errors, omissions, or outdated statements, and the law changes. Citations are provided so you can verify claims against the source; you must do so before relying on anything. We do not warrant that output is accurate, complete, current, or fit for a particular purpose, and Consilena is provided “as is” and “as available”.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss arising from your reliance on AI output; and our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period or £100. Consilena is a consumer/professional tool, not a substitute for professional advice.
10. Suspension & termination
You may stop using Consilena and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or where required by law. On termination, unused credits are handled under the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the “last updated” date shows when. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
12. Governing law
These terms and any dispute relating to them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If you are a consumer, you may also have rights under the law of your country of residence that these terms do not affect.
