Consilena for developers and AI agents

AI assistants and agents can use Consilena through its remote MCP server at https://consilena.com/mcp. It signs in with OAuth 2.1, asks for narrow scopes, and offers tools for cited legal questions, matters, documents, reviews and jurisdiction comparisons. Everything runs on your Consilena account and credits, and shows up in your workspace.

What agents can do

  • Ask legal questions and get answers with numbered citations to the provisions they rely on.
  • Search the law library directly and return matching provisions.
  • Create matters, upload documents and read their text.
  • Start document reviews and compare jurisdictions.

The law covered is the same as in the web app: see coverage. There is no UK or German case law yet.

The same rules as the web app

  • Usage through MCP is billed in your Consilena credits exactly like the web app: the same prices, the same balance, the same work trace.
  • Work started by an agent is recorded in your workspace with its trace and sources.
  • Data is handled as described on the security page: hosting on AWS in Frankfurt, US-based AI model providers, no training on your documents.
  • AI output is not legal advice. Your assistant should show you the citations, and you should open them.
